#11 of 365 Lego 7881 Duplo Pirate Ship

It's a Monday, and I thought I would get some Lego opened. Afterall, I've probably got enough Lego to last me a whole year on one set a day. However, since I'm on the gitd theme, I had to (with some difficulty) locate Lego sets with gitd pieces. That sounds easier than it actually is. Afterall, I don't have an unlimitless collection. But before I go into today's sets, let's just run down #1 to #10:

First toy of the year. Thsi was before the gitd theme was decided, so there's nothing in this set that gitd.

Which brings me to #11 today:

Well, not really Lego, but Duplo, and not really Duplo either, but this was Lego's answer to Playmobil.

Phew, that's a lot of bags inside bags inside box.

Completed model!

Being rated for 5 and under (or something like that) it was easy to build. The ship has some nice features as well, but the highlight for me is the gitd sail. More details are in the facebook album, including several close-ups. So that's #11.

I'm not sure I have enough gitd stuff to last me until the end of the month - it'd be pretty sucky if gitd month ended after day 20 or so... perhaps someone will send me a vintage carded scare glow ;)

  1. Hello,
Do you ever sell any of these sets once you have opened them? My son is asking for the Duplo pirate ship (#7881) for Christmas, so I've become the obsessed mom searching everywhere for it. Please contact me at melissa92974 @ yahoo.com if you are interested. Thank you!

  2. Sorry, I rarely sell my stuff after opening them. There's an entire site (I think it's called brickbay) dedicated to selling Lego though, and then there's always ebay. Good luck getting one for your son.
