#57 - #60 of 365 Star Trek First Contact Lily, Zefram, Riker, Data

This should be the last of Femme February, as well as the first of Mecha.nic.al March. Surprisingly, this also close out Playmates month (in which we had WildCATs and Star Trek Voyager.

Wiley told me he was baffled by the amount of toys I have. Well, let's just say that I went crazy when I was building up dukenostalgia.com and got a whole bunch of stuff from around that time, which I've been meaning to open, but have never found the time... until now. I'm by no means a MOC collector, so yes, all those toys that I have unopened will eventually get opened!

And on to today's show...

#56 of 365 Lego 8038 Battle for Endor

I guess this will probably disappoint Havoc - he was expecting a Leia today, although, perhaps not this Leia. Femme Fatale February was named for Kevenn's Femme Fatale, where he drew a Leia, so I thought it'd be remiss if I did not include a Leia in this month's line-up, particularly when I do have an unopened version of her... just not an action figure of her.

#55 of 365 Lego 10193 Medieval Market Village

Nick said to open a Lego set for today. I had the choice today between something easy, and something really complicated. I chose the complicated set. This note is written almost 6 hours later after opening the set - I've been building it in the meantime. Phew.

Wishworld Kids Read 'n Speed Chair and Blaze 'n Braise Fireplace

I'm dedicating this note to Rainbow Brite who added me as her friend today.

This isn't part of the Toy a Day (TaD) in 2010, where I open one toy for every day in 2010. Nopers, these have already been opened... well, mostly. However, since these are going back into storage soon, I am taking pictures of them so that I'll remember what I have in storage. Since February is Femme Fatale February for TaD, I thought I'd continue the theme and include these today. Which means tomorrow I get to open 2 toys as part of FFF.

#54 of 365 Lego 6243 Brickbeard's Bounty

I'm still a little bit upset that there's not that much Lego yet, so this is my attempt to add more before the end of February. Otherwise, I might have to dedicate an entire month to Lego which will probably turn some of my fans (aka Nick) off reading these. I also want to give a shout out to Logan who said Hi to me today - I'm dedicating this set to you since you'll probably understand the irony of me doing it today.

#52 and #53 of 356 Star Trek Voyager Mutated Tom Paris and Cardassian Seska

This month is shaping up to be Playmates month as well. Well, I guess Play Mates goes with Femme Fatale in a way. Hugh Heffner will probably be the expert there. Anyways, I was a huge fan of Voyager way back when, so I picked these two up a while ago.

#51 of 365 Polly Pocket Wild Zoo World

It's Femme February. Let's throw in a toyline that's targetted at girls instead for this month.

#50 of 365 Lego 7641 City Corner

I just realised that I haven't opened a Lego set for weeks now. I guess I have to rectify it, so here's one for Femme February! You'd have thought it'd be easy to pick a Lego set for Femme February, but nooooo... somehow, it's a male dominated minifig world out there. However, there's also sets like this one which I'm opening which includes a lady minifig, so yay!

#43 - 49 of 365 G-Force Mark, Mark (variant), Princess, Keyop, Jason, Tiny and Zolthar

I have been meaning to open this for a while. Before I go on though, I just want to shout out to Fisto - thanks for the chat earlier tonight! I hope you post pics of your collection soon!

Sunday 7 February 2010

#39 - #42 of 365 Star Wars Clone Wars - Ahsoka Tano, Asaji Ventress, Count Dooku, Destroyer Droid

I thought I'd do a big bang and cover everything up till mid next week as well. I suspect that news after next weekend will be focused on the NYTF anyways, with little attention given to whatever I'd be posting then. (Perhaps I shall sneak in something interesting then...)

#38 of 365 Masters of the Universe Classic Battle Armor He-Man

The first variant in the MotUC line is here, and I have finally opened him... as part of Femme February??? Well, I'm not going to wait until April, am I? Besides, Kev and Marvelous1 has already liked my Facebook status stating that I'd be opening him and Beastie this weekend, so I better not disappoint.

#37 of 365 Masters of the Universe Classics Beastman

I missed out when Beastman was first sold. I did order one of him, but he never arrived. Oh well. I was glad that he was reissued, and I got 2 of him this time, making very sure that he would arrive. And he did, together with Adora and BA He-man.

#36 of 365 Biker Mice from Mars Charley

Let's do 2 women in a row for Femme February. This is Charley from the Biker Mice from Mars cartoon, which as you can see has also been made into an action figure.

#35 of 365 Invisible Woman (Toy Biz)

It's Femme February. I'm opening one toy for each day of the year (2010), and I'm slightly behind. #35 would correspond to the 4th of February, and we have this girl, or is she a woman?

Wednesday 3 February 2010

#34 of 365 Masters of the Universe Classic Princess of Power Adora

If Glimmer gave a preview of Femme February while closing off gitd January, the I'd say Adora ushers in Femme February in full. There's even an opening video for her that I did.

Tuesday 2 February 2010

#30 - #33 of 365 WildCATs Voodoo, Pike, Daemonite and Slag

For those just joining in, I'm opening one toy for each day in 2010, and I'll be doing them in theme months. Last month was gitd January. February kicks off Femme February (thanks to Kev for the idea). Femme February basically means I'll be opening toys with females. However, because of my desire to ensure that I open everything from the same line in one go, not every toy showcased in February will be female. Case in point: the WildCATs here.
