I think I have been on a minifigures spending spree this year, and here's another 4 figures from one of the purchases...

#868 of Year 3 Lego Friends Display Stand

8The reason why I got a few more Friends sets is this.  This little baggie was to be given out free for purchases of Friends sets at my local TRU.  Well, it's too good to pass up a bargain to get free Lego!

#867 of Year 3 Lego 3315 Friends Olivia's House

The flagship set of the Friends series has to be Olivia's House.  Not only does she feature Olivia, but her parents Monica and Chand...er... erm... Peter and Anna are in it as well.

#866 of Year 3 Lego 3183 Friends Stephanie's Cool Convertible

It's still purple and pink here as I continue on to Stephanie's Cool Convertible.  Wait, it's a convertible?  I wonder if it's as great as the Gallardo...

#865 of Year 3 Lego 3936 Friends Emma's Fashion Design Studio

I have a backlog of Friends sets to open, and these are just the tip of the iceberg of the unopened Lego sets that I have.

#864 of Year 3 Lego 3931 Friends Emma's Splash Pool

With the Dino theme, the dinosaurs was the main draw for me.  The friends theme though gives me lots of cool furnishing and accessories.  I have no use for the girly minifigures with boobs... since they seem so out of scale with the rest of the minifigs.

#862 and #863 of Year 3 Hotwheels MotU Skeletor and Eternia

I was travelling in July (was that last month?) and I picked up a couple more MotU hotwheels at the airport.  So here they are - Eternia and Skeletor on Panthor.

#861 of Year 3 DCUC Rocket Red

I didn't even realised that we were getting Rocket Red this year, whoever he is.  He's part of the Club Infinite Earth though and as I told someone the other day - it's like magic that I get free toys every few months.  I do look forward to it next year.

#860 of Year 3 DCUC Starman

This was the reason why I picked up the DCUC Club Infinite Earth subscription for this year.  Legion of Superhero Starman!

Sunday 19 August 2012

#859 of Year 3 MotUC Spikor

I had almost forgotten that I got this the other day.  Almost!  Here's the human porcupine himself Spikor.

#858 extra of Year 3 MotU Scareglow

So I manage to get a Scareglow for under $50.  A complte Scareglow!  And I'm not talking about the MotUC version!

#858 of Year 3 MotUC He-Man for Vykron

Well, Vykron had three different sets of armour, but just one body.  Somehow I had to rectify that.

Friday 10 August 2012

#857 of Year 3 MotUC Vykron

Vykron is the SDCC MotUC exclusive for this year.  He comes in three different packaging.  I only got two of him though - one to display, another to keep in the box.

#856a of Year 3 MotUC Snake Mountain Stands

Just a quick post today about the Snake Mountain stands.  Two years ago, Mattel made stands for MotUC and those stands had a Grayskull pattern.  It sold out in a few minutes.  So Mattel went back and made more and they have sort of been an evergreen product on Matty Collector.  Fans though, have been asking for stands for the other factions, so Mattel issued these Snake Mountain stands.

#855 & #856 of Year 3 MotUC Stinkor x2

Stinkor has a very special place in my MotU mythos.  That's because he was the first figure I picked up and got ever.  I knew about MotU way back then, of course, as my friends all had He-Man and stuff, but I could never afford them even way back then.  So the first time I saw him in the shops, I had to beg to be allowed to have a figure and was told that I could get only 1.  I have no idea why I picked him out of all the others, but the black and white and orange and blue just makes him stands out so much more I guess.  Oh and he also stands out because he stinks, and not in a bad way.

#854 of Year 3 MotUC Horde Prime

Did I mention Horde Prime yesterday?  Here he is!  He was originally supposed to be Horde Supreme, but Mattel finally got the Filmation and UK comic rights, so they could finally make him as Horde Prime.

#853 of Year 3 MotUC The Mighty Spector

The MotUC 30th anniversary celebrations aren't actually that great.  Sure we got figures like Photog, but we also get figures like this one - the purple Deadpool aka the Mighty Spector.

Sunday 5 August 2012

#852 of Year 3 MotUC Calizidak

I was a bit excited that we were getting Slushhead so soon.  I mean Whiplash and Flipshot parts in one figure?  That's exactly what I want!

Saturday 4 August 2012

#851 of Year 3 MotUC Slushhead

It's MotUC Slushhead today, but before I write about the toy opening, please take a look at the MotUC subscriptions currently being offered until 6th August 2012 by Mattel.  If you like the line, please consider buying one or one hundred or anything in between.  Thanks.

#850 of Year 3 MotUC Snake Man-at-Arms

First off, if you're reading this in the next few days and you haven't bought a MotUC sub, please do me a favour and buy one.  I'd like to see figures such as MotUC Ram Man here on this blog.  Subscriptions can be made on Matty Collector until the 6th of August 2012.  Now that the public service announcement is out of the way, let's get back to today's non-regularly non-scheduled toy opening.  It's Man-At-Arms... wait, it's the Scaly variant.
