I'm still romping through Bionicle week, and today, it's this little dude who's called Tanma. OK, that's a weird name, but I'm going to guess it has some Polynesian link or something as this whole line started off with that way... until some Polynesian group threatened a lawsuit or something.
The packaging is similar to Kirop's from a couple of days ago, and it's even held together by that weird plastic ribbon thing. The picture on the front is supposedly supposed to suggest some sort of action - i.e. that the figure is flying, but it still looks a bit boring.
Again, there's no bag inside the packaging, which is a bit weird. The back of the instruction sheet though, does show off all six pairs of the Phantokas and their sidekicks.
Tanma actually doesn't look too bad and very much humanoid. The swords seems to be in scale with the figure which is good, and he stands well too. His face seems a bit out of character for a jungle figure as it looks like an underwater mask. Still, this is a lot better than Kirop.

I'd pick this up just for the lime green pieces; favorite new colour of modern Lego. I do like the head/mask on this guy.
ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that you like the head sculpts. Good luck trying to find a set that's a few years out of date!
