It's day 5 of the Alien Conquest-athon and this is the largest of the Aliens set. it's a huge saucer, with a spinning, urm... saucer out rim.
The box is large and square, yet even despite the size, the saucer doesn't even fit on the front of the box. The back shows the action features, of which there aren't that many? And what's this about batteries included? Is the set motorised?
The box contains four baggies, two instruction books, a decal sheet and 8 narrow-width tracks. Wait tracks? There isn't any ground vehicles in this set.
There's a baggie with all the long and big pieces including the cockpit.
Baggie number 1 builds the alien, a female reporter, a face huggger and a nice small saucer on its own. Wait, nice saucer on its own? Yup. It's perfectly circular and has a handle on its end (or a tail) and it looks great thanks to the design with the clear cockpit and the decals.
Baggie number 2, together with the tracks build a huge wheel structure. Ah, so that's what those track pieces are for.
Baggie number 3 contains the battery box with the chime feature and integrates the huge wheel with the small saucer. The final set is huge and is over 2 feet across. The outer wheel is spun manually, but when one does that, it triggers the doorbell chime (which emits a rather 60s space sound).
Overall, this set does fit in with the rest of the Alien Conquest thanks to the colours and the shapes. The size alone makes it impressive, but the price is also impressive.
