Swiftwind is one of those characters that can be displayed in two different ways despite the fact that she's unique. The Wind Raider, however, is a vehicle that's not unique, but is condusive to army building. Okay, the price point may be a bit pricey, but a fleet of three of these would just be so visually amazing.
The Wind Raider box is unlike any other box in the Classics line. It features original art for starters, both on the front and the back. This is the first time that we've got original art on MotUC packaging since... the vintage lines. The box does not have any cross sell images or a bio, despite the large amount of black "space", but that's OK.
The Wind Raider comes disassembled. The wings and the rudder are separate. There's also a two piece stand.
The installation instructions are clear and simple. It's also mostly wordless.
The assembled vehicle is huge! And thanks to the stand, it can be positioned in a variety of "poses".
The stand even has the MotU logo stamped on it... twice. The vehicle itself does not escape from the attention to detail. The cockpit is fully painted and looks marvelous.
The flaps on the engine open to reveal even more details and some missiles. That's not the only feature - the anchor on the front can be "fired" when a button on the side of the hood is pressed. Okay, so the string isn't very long and because of that it doesn't go too far, but hey, it's an action feature. It can be winched back by rotating the eagle head thing on the hood. Even the bottom of the raider has details sculpted onto it (and yes, all 3 of my raiders have their guns attached). The paint is applied excellently on all of my raiders. I think I must have lucked out!
Well, that's just an amazing picture, to have 3 of these sitting in a delta formation. I'm glad I shelled out the bucks to get these.

The Wind Raider is a classic! And having a army of these would be awesome.
