I'm almost nearing the end of the run this year. After today there'll be 25 more toys to go before the year is out. That sounds exciting! The collectible minifigures from Lego has been the rage for most of this year, but few people realise that it was started with this set of vintage minifigures
Five minifigures, in the first volume packaged in a yellow box. The contents are proudly displayed, together with the years they were first introduced.
Slip off the outer transparent plastic wrap and the minifigs pop off their chocolate trays. Most of them are true to their original versions, with the exception of the 1978 spacemen, who uses the 1987 helmet instead of the 1978 helmet. I wonder why Lego made that mistake. Still, it's nice to be able to get some of these figs again, particularly the classic smileys.
