I was asked to assist this dude who I knew from Facebook to help him complete his college project.  It had something to do with toys and photography.  So I made an appointment and spent a few hours with him, just hanging out and assisting where possible.  By the end of the evening, he handed me this small bag and told me it was in appreciation of the help that I had given.  Wow.  OK.

My Top 11 MotUC for 2011

It's the end of the year.  There's a number of top 10 lists flying around out there, but since this is 2011, I'm gonna be a bit different and do Top 11 lists.  I'll start off with MotUC, which put out quite a bit of product this year.  This wasn't an easy list to cut down to 11, but I think I've succeeded.

It's still Speed September, and since I've just gone through three Hot Wheels figures, I guess I can do a fourth one.  This one though, isn't from Speed Racer, but a whole different franchise altogether.

It's another day, and it's still Speed September though... and this is the toyline that lent half its name to this month's theme... Speed Racer!  Racer X is the antagonist of the series (I think, I've not watched the movie or the anime) and he has a rather important position in the franchise.

It's Speed September and I'm going to start my Speed Racer run.  I'll start off with Speed Racer himself and his vehicle Mach 5.  These are the movie figures from Hot Wheels.  That's the latest incarnation of the franchise that started out as a Japanese anime in the 60s.

I'm close to running out of toys for the rest of this year - this was only supposed to be Toy a Day for 2010, but I've gone on to do another 8 months after that and this is the start of the nineth month - and it's a themed month.  Speed September 2011 is the theme this month and I start off with this trio of MotU vehicles.
