It's the final day of DCUC 2011 month here, and I'm closing it out with a DCUC vs MotUC two-pack. Aquaman! Merman! How epic is that?

#187 of 365 DCUC Ultraman and Alexandor Luthor - repost
It's close to the end of DCUC month, and for the repost, here's a write-up of the Earth-3 Ultraman and Alexander Luthor that I did last year.
There are some things that I save for last. This isn't one of them, but it is the last of my unopened DCUC figures, well, until I get some more. Welcome to Jambalaya July, and the closing chapter of Justice League June, and today it's the turn of the Earth-3 two-pack, Ultraman and a Luthor.
Ultraman is not the Japanese costumed hero who fights monsters. Nope. Not in this case. In this case, he's an alternate dimension Superman who's evil. Okay, that's like the anti-thesis of Superman, which I guess is why he was created. Now, the main good guy in this alternate dimension is Alexander Luthor. I have no idea what he does but he was recently used to bring back the multiverse to the DC universe, so I guess he's of some import. Hence these two figures, which sold poorly on mattycollector.com apparently.

#575 of Year 2 DCUC vs MotUC Hawkman vs Stratos
It's the final days of DCUC 2011 month here on Toy a Day and I'm closing with two DCUC vs MotUC 2-packs. Today it's the Battle in the Skies pack - Hawkman vs Stratos.

#163 of 365 DCUC Green Lantern
It's DCUC month this year, but I thought I'd repost some old DCUC figures that I did last year and this week, it's Wave 3. Here's the final figure the Wave, Hal Jordan.
It's DCUC Wave 3 week here on Toy a Day, part of Justice League June, of course, and today, I'm opening the Green Lantern Hal Jordan (which I'm just gonna call it Hal). Hal wasn't the first Green Lantern, or the last, but he is the current Green Lantern and is one of the more popular Green Lanterns. He's a test pilot who was chosen by his ring to be the Green Lantern for the sector in which the Earth was part of, and as part of an entire Green Lantern Corps, well, things happen and is still happening as part of the ongoing storylines in the DC Universe.

#574 of Year 2 MotUC Faceless One
After four days of repaints, I thought it might be a good day to move back to an actual figure for a change. Faceless One was the June figure. Wait, June? It's almost August! Yeah, well, there hasn't been a good time to open him and I guess this is the first opportunity I've had to open him since I got him.

#573 of Year 2 MotUC Tekno from Fuerza-T???
Well, this is the third figure for the project I'm working on and it's Trap Jaw. This isn't the first Trap Jaw that I've opened. I originally opened him in March of last year and Kronis when he was reissued in August. There's no need to write more about him, so I'll use today's post to explain about the project that I'm working on.
#572 of Year 2 MotUC Zodak
This is the second Zodak that I'm opening, but the first one on this blog because the first figure that I opened was before the start of this blog. He's for a project that I'm working on...
#571 of Year 2 MotUC He-Man
Whoa! What's He-Man doing here? Well, the line started before I started this blog. But since I recently got a new one to reopen for a project, I thought I might as well just put the figure through its paces before I pull it apart.
#162 of 365 DCUC Robin - repost
It's DCUC month this year, but I thought I'd repost some old DCUC figures that I did last year and this week, it's Wave 3. Here's the boy wonder, Robin.
It's DCUC Wave 3 week here on Toy a Day, and today we look at Figure 4, Robin. I was trying to place this Robin - there have been a number of DC characters to have taken this moniker, and I'm not that well versed with him, but I'm going to guess that this is the 90s version of Robin, Tim Drake, the computer whiz and the Young Justice leader.

#161 of 365 DCUC Nightwing - repost
It's DCUC month this year, but I thought I'd repost some old DCUC figures that I did last year starting with Wave 1. Here's Nightwing!
We're continuing with DCUC Wave 3 today as part of Justice League June here on Toy a Day. And it's the former Boy Wonder, Nightwing! Yes, Nightwing was formerly Robin, but he decided to step out of his mentor (some say gay lover) Batman and be his own man, or bird, or whatever he calls himself (hey, I have no bias against whatever his preference is, he can be whatever he wants to be) and takes on the name of Nightwing.

It's DCUC month this year, but I thought I'd repost some old DCUC figures that I did last year and this week, it's Wave 3. Here's the scary Deathstroke.
We're continuing with Wave 3 this week, and it's figure 2 - Deathstroke!

#159 of 365 DCUC Sinestro - repost
It's DCUC month this year, but I thought I'd repost some old DCUC figures that I did last year and this week, it's Wave 3. Here's the first figure from the Wave, Sinestro.
It's week 2 of Justice League June. Well, this is shaping up to be DCUC June instead. Today is the start of DCUC Wave 3, and I guess I'll do these in the order that they were numerated on the packaging.
#570 of Year 2 MotUC Catra - with extra custom paint work!
I opened Catra last month and wrote about both her versions. I wasn't really happy with her overall looks though, which is why I got a spare Catra to open so that I could do this:

#164 of 365 DCUC Color of Fear 2-Pack Romat Ru and Karu-Sil - repost
It's DCUC month for 2011 and I thought I'll repost what I wrote from last year. Since there are only five items and six figures from Wave 1, I had to pick something extra to close out the week. Well, since there's a whole lot of Lantern action going on this week, I thought I might as well repost the Color of Fear 2-pack today. Enjoy.
I opened Sinestro earlier in the week. That was the Sinestro with his modern Sinestro Corps costume. To celebrate that and to "keep things together", I thought I'd open this 2-Pack (which counts as one toy, since it's in one box) which contains more Sinestro Corps members.
#569 of Year 2 DCUC Skallox
It's the final day of the week, and today I'm opening another 2-in-one figure from GL Wave 2. It's the final day of GL Wave 2 week here on Toy a Day and it's part of DCUC 2011 month here. And unlike Medphyll/Naut Kei Loi, I only have one of him, so this will have to do double duty.

#156a of 365 DC Universe Classics Metamorpho - repost
It's DCUC month for 2011 and I thought I'll repost what I wrote for Wave 1 from last year. The Wave isn't complete without the first CnC figure, Metamorpho.
The thing with Collect and Connect, or CnC is that buyers of an entire wave are rewarded with an extra figure. For Wave 1, the extra figure is Rex Mason, or Metamorpho. The parts to build this figure are scattered all throughout the wave and this figure can only be built if the entire wave is purchased. So he was not opened at one go and thus does not count towards my Toy a Day limit, but I'd still like to do him the justice of a TaD review (of sorts).

#568 of Year 2 DCUC Naut Kei Loi
It's the start of the weekend, and it's a busy day at SDCC especially for Mattel's DC toys where there are two panels for then property. Here on Toy a Day though, it's still GL Wave 2 week and I'm not opening Figure 6 despite it being the 6th day, but the duplicate of the fifth figure, who's packed a little differently.

#156 of 365 DC Universe Classics Tornado - repost
It's DCUC month for 2011 and I thought I'll repost what I wrote for Wave 1 from last year. The final figure in the Wave is the Tornado.
This is it, this is the final figure of Wave 1 DCUC, and this is the last chance the wave has to show me it can be good. Welcome to Justice League June here on Toy a Day and we're going through DCUC Wave 1 week here. So far, the first four figures have been at best uninteresting, and at worst a disappointment to me. Is there any redemption to Wave 1 of DCUC? Let's open up Tornado!
#567 of Year 2 DCUC Medphyll
It's Friday, and I'm opening Medphyll today. He also comes with the parts to nake Naut, but since I have a carded Naut Kei Loi, I'll just do Medphyll today. It's still GL Wave 2 week as part of DCUC 2011 month here on Toy a Day, and guess what, SDCC is happening now!

#155 of 365 DC Universe Classics Etrigan - repost
It's DCUC month for 2011 and I thought I'll repost what I wrote for Wave 1 from last year. Etrigan is the fourth figure in the line, and since this is the first Wave, there is only one more figure in the line.
Three strikes and you're out is a common phrase in Baseball, and had I applied it to DCUC, I would not have even bothered to continued, seeing how the first 3 characters in the first wave have been a disappointment to me so far. But there're 5 figures to this wave, and since I already have them, let's just open up these poor excuse for action figures.
#566 of Year 2 DCUC Dex-Starr
It's Thursday! And it's Figure 4 of GL Wave 2 today, since it's GL Wave 2 week of DCUC 2011 month here on Toy a Day. But I'm doing something different today. It's a three pack. One of the figures will be reviewed here, while the other two figures will be guest reviewed on Killer B Hive and A Year of Toys.

#154 of 365 DC Universe Classics Penguin - repost
It's DCUC month for 2011 and I thought I'll repost what I wrote for Wave 1 from last year. Enjoy the first villian in the line, Penguin.
It's Justice League June here on Toy a Day. This week, it's Wave 1 DCUC week. I've opened Orion and Batman and have been totally disappointed by what I've opened so far. Will today's toy be as disappointing as well? Well, let's open up Penguin to have a look.
#565 of Year 2 DCUC G'Hu
It's day 3 of GL Wave 2 week, DCUC 2011 month here on Toy a Day. Yes, it's a Wednesday and I'm opening what's supposedly a movie figure named G'Hu? I think this is a throwaway figure at long time fans, but I'm not one of them.

#153 of 365 DC Universe Classics Batman - repost
It's DCUC month for 2011 and I thought I'll repost what I wrote for Wave 1 from last year. Enjoy the Batman who's the first "big gun" in the line.
Yesterday, I opened up a disappointing Orion from DC Universe Classics. Today I'm opening the second figure of the same Wave, Wave 1, Batman. Welcome to Justice League June here on Toy a Day.
