#633 of Year 2 Lego 798 City Police Station

It's the final day of City Police week here on Toy a Day for Speed September, and I finish up the week with the new police station from this year.  Now this may look like an update of the one from three years ago, and in most ways it is.

The box is slightly smaller than its predecessor, yet everything fits on the front of the box perfectly.  The back of the box has the usual stuff - number of baggies, action features, huge minifigure with HEY! covering up his privates, which some days makes me wonder if he's got pants on... but that's neither here nor there.

Like its predecessor, there are nine baggies, two baseplates, a decal sheet and four instruction booklets.

Baggie number 1 builds the female police officer and her patrol car.

And I expected baggie number 2 to build the police van, but...

... nope, it's just an officer and his van.  And look, door handles on the van on doors that actually open.

Unlike the previous set though, the prison complex is actually built from four baggies instead of three...

Baggie 3 builds the 2 prisoners, the cop on a bicycle and a doggie.  It also builds half of the ground floor including one of the two garages.

Baggie number 4 builds the other half of the ground floor, and part of it is dedicated to the dog kennel.

Baggie number 5 builds the prison cells.

And Baggie number 6 completes the prison complex.

The office block is three stories high and is designed in an odd L-shape and is built from three baggies.

Baggie number 7 builds another cop, this one with a tie...

... and the ground floor of the office block, which is furnished with a huge TV screen.

Baggie number 8 builds the second storey of the office block.

And baggie number 9 builds the top floor.  There's all sorts of furnishing on this floor.

The overall set is smaller than its predecessor, has less features and somehow feels a bit incomplete.  There's a helideck on the roof, but no helicopter.  Nevertheless, It does fit in with the rest of the line.
