Sy-Klone was released at the same time as the Weapons Rack. Now it would have been great if they had spelt it with the typo as Weapons Rak so that it goes with the two Weapons Paks, but they didn't. Maybe next year we'll get a Weapons Sack? Who knows?

#484 of Year 2 MotUC Sy-Klone
It's the final day of the month. I started off the month with MotU and I'll end with MotU. Sy-Klone is what I'm opening today, and this is the MotUC flavour of the figure. Now, for the first time ever, he does not have his action feature, but will that detraction be a distraction, or will the distraction be a detraction?

Bits and Bobs 20110429
My modem has decided to go on Spring break as well it seems, so I've been out of a fast internet connection over the past week or so. I'm depending on this old dial-up, which is S-L-O-W. I've got reviews up, but they obviously can't be posted on this thing. Hopefully, I'll get my modem fixed over the weekend, but in the meantime, here's some rather old news, but I thought I'd share.

#483 of Year 2 Power Rangers Dino Thunder White Quadro-Battlizer Power Ranger
This is the last of my unopened Power Rangers. I can't close out the month, or even the week with them, but that's OK. Generally, I've found that these toys are toys first - fun to play with, and figures second. They lack articulation, or their articulation is hampered by their action feature. Looks matter little - the action feature comes first. However, today's toy though is from another "year"/theme of the Power Rangers. Somehow I doubt it'd be any different.

#482 of Year 2 Power Rangers SPD Shadow Delta-Morphin Power Ranger
SPD is the Power Rangers in space "year"/theme and it seems to be some sort of Star Trek ripoff, or at least to me. They toys though, are anything but Star Trek rip-off. I only have one figure, and it's not even the basic figure, it's a delta morphin figure, whatever that is...

#481 of Year 2 Power Rangers Wild Force Lunar Wolf Spin-Morphin Power Ranger
It's almost the end of the month, and this is supposedly a no-theme month although it's also Action April. And we continue this week with more Power Rangers, with yet another figure from the Wild Force "year".

#480 of Year 2 Power Rangers Wild Force Blue Spin-Morphin Power Ranger
Some days I get hit with internet connection problems. This week is one of those weeks, but as they say, the show must go on. And goes on it does, with a Power Ranger today. Now this long running line has been with us since the early nineties, and I must confess I know close to nothing about these toys.

So, my BBTS shipment arrived the other day. I placed the order earlier in the month and I forgot about it almost immediately. Here's a photo of what I ordered.

#479 of Year 2 MotUC Mossman
So, I got a second MotUC Mossman that was reissued this month so that I could display him "both ways". Here's a picture of the two of them. I didn't feel the need to write all about him again, since it's the same figure. But since I have two, I could display one with the club and the other one with the dagger. Yay.

#478 of Year 2 Sea Quest Dr. Z
It's the final day of Sea Quest week, and I've pretty much opened almost the entire line in just about a week. The only figure that I don't have is Lucas, and despite the awesomeness of the line so far, I doubt I'll get him to complete the collection. Anyways, today is the turn of the other villian in the line to be opened - Dr. Z.

#477 of Year 2 Sea Quest The Regulator
Sea Quest is a nine figure toyline... at least that I know of. I have eight of them and this week, we've seen all the good guys minus Lucas. In a nine-figure line, Playmates added two villians into the mix. Yes, not one but two villians, and I think one of them is a bit obscure, so here comes the villians.

#476 of Year 2 Sea Quest Darwin
It's still Sea Quest week here on Toy a Day, and as I said, I don't have Mr. Jonathan Brandis aka Lucas as one of my figs, so I'll just have to move on. Not every line has a fish as a figure, but since this is the Sea Quest line, and since the character does play an important part in the TV series, the dolphin known as Darwin got his own toy as well...

#475 of Year 2 Sea Quest Jonathan Ford
It's still Sea Quest week, and this is the last of the men in black. Out of the 9 figures in the line, more than half of them, five, are in the black uniform, and over the past week or so, I've been showcasing them here as part of Sea Quest week.

#474 of Year 2 Sea Quest Manilow Crocker
Another day, another Sea Quest figure. It is Sea Quest week after all, and today, we take a look at Chief Crocker. I hope he's not gonna turn out as the first crock for the week, after the three above average figures in the line so far.

#473 of Year 2 Sea Quest Katherine Hitchcock
It's day 2 of Sea Quest week... and surprisingly it's a themed week in a non-themed month. And despite the fact that it's only Tuesday, this is the third figure in Sea Quest week. Yup, go figure ;) And while talking about figures, here's the only female in the line... or at least female human in the line, despite the show having at least three females of note in the first season.

#472 of Year 2 Sea Quest Tim O'Reilly
After the soft launch yesterday of Sea Quest week with Bridger, I finally get into Sea Quest week proper with... Joxer the mighty? Nope, but close enough. Joxer was comic relief, but Tim is anything but comic relief. In fact, nerd seems to sum him up nicely here, and hey, that's a compliment.

#471 of Year 2 Sea Quest Nathan Bridger
Next week is SeaQuest week, but why start next week when I can start this week? SeaQuest was the winner of the poll I posted on the forums, and I think there's one running for June there at the moment. Anyways, today, I'll start off with the Captain from the line.

April 2011 Matty Release day
The middle of this month is tomorrow... and Mattel is gonna make those of us without a subscription suffer. Wait, scratch that... Mattel is gonna make all of us who want a Weapons Rak suffer tomorrow by going to mattycollector.com. Will the WSOD strike again? Definitely. Will the CAPTCHA be a pain? Most probably.
Sy-Klone is the regular subscription of the month. Now he doesn't come with an alternate head, so the demand shouldn't go crazy? Maybe, but he's also the base for Strabo, which we know Mattel doesn't have the rights to, so there might be people snapping up doubles of him to custom as Strobo. Then there's also a smaller contingent of millennium fans who would want him with Asian features. It's a tough call how quickly he'll sell out, but I'm going to guess he'll sell out relatively quickly.

#468 of Year 2 TMNT April O'Neil
Well, as I have been saying - Good things comes in twos. After the rather disappointing April of yesterday, will this April from the Playmates cartoon line be any better? Or will it go down in flames? It's April in April here on Toy a Day!

#467 of Year 2 TMNT NECA April O'Neal
It's April, and Havoc suggested last year that I open up April in April, but last year, April (and May) was blocked out for the MotU millennium and NECA staction lines, so I never got around to it. This year, it's a different story though. Granted, I've done the nod to last year with over a week of MotUCs (and yes, some millennium Hotwheels vehicles), but since that's done, here's an April.

#466a Show and Tell of my customised King Hiss
King Hiss should have been a great figure, but he suffered from reverse shoulders, and an obvious lack of snakes in his alt form. Well, I fixed the reverse shoulders (but his ab crunch got a lot looser) and this is my attempt to fix the lack of snakes.

#465 and #466 of Year 2 MotUC King Hiss
One of the reasons why there's this huge glut of MotUC this month is because there wasn't any last month. Also, Mattel has been putting out a lot of these in the past few months.. especially characters like Hiss (I refuse to call him Hssss) which not only have 2 different heads, but two completely different torsos. Oh and last year, April was the month that I started opening my millennium and staction collections which took over 2 months to complete, one toy a day, so this year, the current "glut" is in honour of that.

#464 of Year 2 MotUC Battle Armor Skeletor
You guys knew this was coming up, especially after PDHM yesterday. No, this is the not-MotUC week, but I'm opening BA Skeletor. I have no idea why, I but I have always liked BA Skeletor to Original Skeletor and BAHM (oooh, cool sound effect), probably because I got my vintage BA Skeletor with my vintage Land Shark. Well, we probably won't be getting a MotUC Land Shark soon, which is a pity.

#463 of Year 2 MotUC Preternia Disguised He-Man
I assure you that I'm not doing a MotUC week. I'm just posting up MotUC stuff that I've been buying over the past few months and opening as I get them. And since I'm opening them, I might as well put them up here to fill up a slot. And it's just PDHM today. One of him, which makes a huge change from the double Bow and double Shadow Beast of the last few opens.

#461 and 462 of Year 2 MotUC Shadow Beast
I got the Shadow Beasts a long while ago, even before Mecha March, and I didn't have a slot for them, until now that is. OK, so this isn't the first review of these guys online, but it's the Toy a Day treatment of the Shadow Beasts, and I'm glad to have them. Yes, them as in two of them!
