This is the second of the two driverless vehicles that I have, and it's the final toy of Nostalgia November, where I'm opening toys from the 80s and 90s. Now Spiral Zone was one of my favourite cartoons growing up, but the toys were a bit unaffordable so I never got them. Then I saw thsi waterlogged box on ebay going for cheap and I just picked it up. Basically Spiral Zone is a group of soldiers vs another group of soldiers in a Sci Fi setting on an alternate present day earth.

#333 of 365 Inhumanoids Terra Scout
It's the end of the month. I thought I'd just finish up by opening the two vehicles that I have, two vehicles without riders. The first one is the Terra Scout from the Inhumanoids line. Welcome to Nostalgia November here on Toy a Day!

Matty Cyber Monday!
In an attempt to sell all the leftover stock of toys just before Christmas (or the other holidays, whichever one is celebrated), Mattel in their infinite wisdom decided to have a "Cyber Monday", which happens to be today. There's a whole glut of product being sold, but three items stand out as being "rereleases" instead of extra product stock.
He-Man, of course, is a reissue, and this is the second time the figure has been rereleased, and the fifth time he's been released, counting the TRU 2-pack and the Battle Armor variant (but excluding Faker, Wundar, etc. etc.). He's still the titular leader of the Masters of the Universe, so he'll probably sell like hotcakes, but will last an hour if not a couple of hours. I'm not getting him.
Skeletor needs no introduction. Like He-Man, this is the second time thta the figure has been rereleased, and also the fifth time he's being released, counting the Skeletor / Luthor 2-pack and the Skeletor / Mo-Larr 2-pack. If Keldor is included, then this is the sixth released for ol' Bonehead. He'll be less popular than He-Man though, so he'll last for at least a couple of hours.
Battlecat makes his second outing on matty, and this would be the one to watch. Mattel underestimated demand the first time around for the figure and he sold out in minutes. Literally. There's still a large number of collectors and fans who do not have a character that's central to the Masters of the Universe mythos in their Classics line. If Mattel was smart, they would have produced enough numbers so that he'll last for at least 2 hours, but somehow, this is Mattel, so I'd expect the talking cat will sell out in under half an hour. *sigh* And I wanted one of him.
The all in-one page is at http://www.mattycollector.com/store/matty/en_US/DisplayShopperDefinedBundlePage/OfferID.6063760709 where there's a whole bunch of other Ghostbuster, DCUC and JLU stuff. Good luck if you're going into the trenches for Battlecat. If you're going for anything else, best wait an hour to avoid the madness!

#332 of 365 Crystar Spell of the Evil Wizard
It's the final day of Crystar week. I wish I had more to go on, but this is all I have of the line. Welcome to this site and Nostalgia November and today I open up another big carded figure that's titled "Spell of the Evil Wizard". Now that's a mouthful.

#331 of 365 Crystar Moltar
It's day 4 of the Crystar week, but if you're a regular here, you already knew that. You'll also know that it's part of the Nostalgia November themed month where I'm opening toys from the 80s and 90s. Crystar though, is from 1982, so it's the oldest unopened toyline that I'm opening ever here on Toy a Day!

#330 of 365 Crystar The Magic of Crystals
It's day 3 of Crystar week here on Toy a Day, which is part of the larger Nostalgia November, where I'm opening toys from the 80s and 90s for the whole month. Today, I'm opening a bigger carded figure with the title The Magic of Crystals and what seems to be a smaller Ogeode inside.

#329 of 365 Crystar Zardeth
It's day 2 of the Crystar week here on Toy a Day's Nostalgia November. Crystar, for those who do not know, is a toyline based on a comic book series by Marvel in the early to mid 80s. It was produced by Remco, who has since been bought up by Hasbro.
Small World: Be Not Afraid
The Small World expansions are coming hard and furious. Small Word is a board game that I've been playing a lot of these days. It's for 2 - 5 players and it is all about earning gold by capturing territory in a resource poor world. Resource management is key. The thing that makes it different every game are the different races, each of which have a power of sorts, and a modifier tile which grants the race an extra power. Days of Wonder, the publisher of the games, have been adding races and modifiers as expansions, and over the two years or so since the game has been published, there's been half a dozen expansions.
Be Not Afraid is the largest expansion to date with 5 new races and an equal number of modifiers. However, the size is also because Days of Wonder has included with an expansion a tile storage box which can store all the tiles in the expansion, and has room to store the tiles from the previous 3 expansions - Leaders, Cursed and Grand Dames. Again, this is really just an opening post with pictures instead of a review.

#328 of 356 Crystar Ogeode
Yes, I know it's mid week, but I'm starting Crystar week today. It'll be a truncated week, but hey, it's Nostalgia November here and Crystar is big with some corners of the internet. Just not here though, I'm not really a big fan and I only got these a few years ago because they were cheap. I have close to no idea regarding anything about the entire line.
Small World: Necromancer's Island
A few weeks ago (probably about two), I placed an order at Days of Wonder for their limited Small World: Necromancer's Island expansion, whatever that is. I got that together with Small World:Be Not Afraid today. This isn't a review, it's just an opening picture.

Crystar Week, Nostalgia November
Nostalgia November has brought out some of the best stuff so far - Bucky O'Hare, Police Academy, Air Raiders, Shadow Strikers, Pirates of Darkwater. The last themed week for this month will be dedicated to these guys:

#325.1 of 365 Shadow Strikers Hurricane
I have three of these babies, two of which are opened. Since I'm opening up the other three Shadow Strikers this week, I thought I'd do a quick review of the Hurricane. Again, this is already opened, so I'm not going to count it towards my toy a day limit, hence the funny number in the title.

New Christmas Display from Action Figure Displays
You guys know how much I like my Action Figure Displays - I use them every day... well, most everyday as backdrops for the toys I'm opening. I just got news that Action Figure Displays is launching their latest display in a while, and it's a winter (aka Christmas) themed display.

#325 of 365 Shadow Strikers Pulse I Converter
If any of you guys watch Pop Culture Network's That New Toy Smell, you'd have heard about Shadow Strikers every now and again. What's that? Well, today I'll open one of these babies up. It's Nostalgia November here on Toy a Day, and I'm having lots of fun so far this month.

#324.1 of 365 Air Vectors Sand Screamer
This isn't a new toy, it's my one and only Air Vector that I have opened a while back. Hence the weird numbering in the title of the post. I just wanted to show that the Air Vectors were not all sports cars... there were also other vehicles in the line, including this one.

#324 of 365 Air Vectors Sky Racer
This is a little late, but it's better late than never. Friday I opened an Air Vector, and if you're regular here, you should know that most good things I have comes in pairs. So today I'm opening another Air Vector as part of Nostalgia November, and this is an F1 race car, Sky Racer.

#323 of 365 Air Vectors Thunderbolt
I'ev been on an action figure roll for such a long time that I thought I'd take a break today and tomorrow for some transforming toys. Air Vectors is a littke known toyline of the early 90s. The main gimmick of the toys was a pull-back motor, and a self-launching glider when the vehicle is powering fowards. The basic idea is the same, but the variety of vehicle designs was innovative and interesting.

#322 of 365 Bucky O'Hare Commander Dogstar
It's another day of Nostalgia as I open this Bucky O'Hare figure here. It's Nostalgia November here on Toy a Day and I'm opening figures that are at least 10 years old. Yesterday, I opened Willy du Witt and today I'm opening my other Bucky O'Hare toy, Commander Dogstar. Now, I have to confess, I have probably only watched Bucky one or twice in my life and I'm not a huge fan of the series or the comics, but Willy from yesterday was a great figure, so I'm hoping Dogstar will be as good if not better today.

Soul of Chogokin GX-59 Daltanious
I'm still catching up on Toy News worldwide. I saw this last week, but did not have enough time or resources to post about it. Daltanious is the Super Robot formed from a smaller robot, a lion and a boxy jet. It's not one of my favs, but I have to say, Bandai through the SoC scheme has really updated the look. It's due to hit April 2011. Thanks to CollectionDX for pointing me to this on Timeless Dimension.

#321 of 365 Bucky O'Hare Willy Du Witt
After a few months where this figure got bumped out by MotUCs and a few other things, I've finally managed to slot him into the sequence to open him. Welcome to Toy a Day, and this month the theme is Nostalgia November, where I open toys that are at least 10 years old.

November 2010 Matty Release Day
Release day is tomorrow. Do be reminded of the time change thanks to the US going out of Daylight Savings. It's one hour behind for those of us who didn't change our clocks in the last couple of weeks, and may be up to three hours different for those of us who shifted our clocks forward by an hour (i.e. those in the southern hemisphere). So be aware.
Grizzlor is the subscription figure for November, or the Club Eternia figure. He comes with real fur and his millennium loincloth. The harness on the back is based on his millennium design which can hold all his weapons, and he does come with a whole bunch of weapons ala Man-at-Arms. He would go fast tomorrow, so get him if you can. A bunch of people might be getting spares of him to display with and without his millennium loincloth.
Grayskull was supposed to be a reissue, but they changed the figure up some and thus he's not just a repaint, but a new SKU. Of note are the furry shoulderpads, the transblue sword and orb and the red cape. He's a bonus figure, but since so many people missed out on him the first time around (he was only available to US customers and at SDCC), he's gonna sell out fast, probably even faster than Grizzlor. He's probably gonna be the best selling millennium figure of the line.
Then there is this collection of weapons. Now, normally this would be a slow seller (and by slow, I mean more than an hour). However, it does include Zoar's stand (repainted from Screech, of course), and repainted Roboto weapons for Trap Jaw, so watch it go out fast as well. I won't be surprised if it sold out faster than Grizzlor. Other goodies include boring repaints of Optikk and Evil-Lyn's weapons and a few other things for Faker.
The only other thing on sale tomorrow is a Ghostbuster figure. Those have been lackluster in sales (and by lackluster, I mean more than a day - matty's definition, not mine). The MotUC stuff will sell like hotcakes as usual. I wish all my friends out there (and their spouses and anyone else they have trying to get figures for them) my best wishes - may you get the toys you desire. I'd like to get some too, but I might not even be on a computer at sale time, so I guess I'm stuffed...
