Ok, so I've been opening minifigures and I thought I might as well open some more of them...  The collectible minifigures are a current fad, but Lego has been churning out Lego minifig sets since... well, since there were minifigures!

This isn't Lego minifigures week, although it may seem that way.  Today I'm opening the first of my Series 4 purchase (which I only purchased last week).

At the beginning of May, I was lamenting that I had a deficit of straight tracks.  Well, guess what?  I found five sets of them and I picked up three.  Woohoo!

It's Sunday, and I thought I'd try my luck at the lottery that comes in the form of a blind bag of Lego minifigures... Series 3 to be exact.  Now, I'm still after that pesky Elf... will I score today?

This is the last of the Transformers Animated toys that I have to open... for a while I guess.  There's still quite a few great characters out there that I would pick up in a heartbeat, and of course, Hasbro is still printing money by making crazy repaints of these as exclusives.  Today's figure is Lugnut, the hulking but loyal minion of Megatron in the animated series.

It's no secret that I'm a Transformers Animated fan... well, at least of the toyline.  And I'm a late comer to the toyline which means I've gotta go hunt down the figures that I want.  I missed out on the Toys R Us Arcee, but scored this Japanese version of the character, who has a completely different paintjob than the American version.

Lemonjuice McGee aka Jason Stephens has just announced that he will be moving on from Hobotastic to his other projects.  In honour of that, I thought it would be fun to repost a review first written in August 2010 here complete with the to-ing and fro-ing between him and me!  And of course, since it's Transformers Animated week, here's Soundwave!

But I digress as usual.  I blame it on Mr. Jim Beam. Anyways, back on Toy a Day, I’m opening animated/cartoon themed toys this month as part of Animated August, and this week, it’s Transformers Animated week.  Oh yeah, bring on Mr. Jim Beam, erm… I mean Soundwave.
